Lee Scratch Perry & The Orb - The Orbserver In The Star House (2012)
This is an interesting collaboration to say the least. Maybe, bizarre is a better word for it. Anyway, The Orbserver In The Star House actually works because The Orb do not try and make Lee "Scratch" Perry something he is not. Instead, the album focuses on ambient house and reggae beats that let Lee Perry ramble over them, making Perry's vocals part of the ambience. Highlights include "Man of the Moon," "Congo" and "Golden Clouds," which has a very similar vibe to The Orb's legendary "Little Fluffy Clouds."
Grab this pleasantly ambient weird album from our new blog, smoke some nice haze and drift away.
